Terms & Conditions

The rules that apply when you use Barcodewala.com, create an account, send an enquiry, place an order or make a payment — what we supply, what you confirm, what we do not guarantee, and how disputes are handled.

We do not represent that every barcode sold, facilitated or supplied through the website is directly issued by GS1 Global or GS1 India. Where a third-party issuing authority is involved, its rules govern that allocation.

1Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to www.barcodewala.com ("Website").

Barcodewala is a brand owned and operated by Ekennis Software Service Limited ("Company", "we", "us" or "our").

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our Website, services, products, digital content, barcode-related solutions and all transactions conducted through the Website.

By accessing the Website, creating an account, submitting an enquiry, placing an order or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Shipping & Digital Delivery Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue using our Website and services.

2Eligibility

You may use our Website if:

  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
  • You are at least the age of majority applicable in your jurisdiction.
  • You have authority to act on behalf of the business or organisation, if purchasing on its behalf.
  • The information you provide is accurate and lawful.

If you are placing an order for a company, brand, partnership, proprietorship or other business entity, you represent that you have the necessary authority to act for that entity.

3Nature of Our Services

Barcodewala provides barcode-related digital products and services, which may include:

  • GS1 barcode-related assistance.
  • GTIN, EAN and UPC-related services.
  • Barcode registration or facilitation services, as specifically described.
  • Digital barcode files and barcode images.
  • Product identification assistance.
  • Barcode documentation and certificates, where applicable.
  • Other associated business and digital services.

The precise scope, source, issuing authority, ownership and permitted use of each barcode product will depend on the particular service purchased and its applicable documentation.

Important: Barcodewala does not represent that every barcode sold, facilitated or supplied through the Website is directly issued by GS1 Global or GS1 India. Where a service involves a third-party issuing authority, the relevant issuing authority and applicable terms will govern that allocation.

Any GS1 name, trademark, logo or reference is used only where legally permitted and shall not be interpreted as proof of an affiliation, agency, partnership or official endorsement unless such relationship has been expressly established.

4Barcode Validity and Issuing Authority

Customers must understand that barcode identifiers are subject to the rules of their issuing organisation and applicable industry standards.

Where a barcode is represented as a GS1-issued identifier, the customer should verify:

  • The issuing organisation.
  • The legitimacy of the allocation.
  • The identity of the entity to which it is allocated.
  • The permitted use and ownership rights.
  • Any applicable registration, renewal or subscription requirements.

Barcodewala will accurately describe the nature and source of the barcode service being offered.

No customer should assume that a barcode supplied through a third-party service is an officially allocated GS1 barcode unless the relevant issuing authority and supporting documentation establish that fact.

5Customer Representations and Responsibilities

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  1. All information submitted is true, accurate and complete.
  2. You are the legitimate brand owner or have the required authorisation to use the relevant brand.
  3. You have the legal right to submit the product and business information provided.
  4. Your use of barcode identifiers will comply with applicable laws and issuing authority rules.
  5. You will not use our services for fraudulent, misleading, counterfeit or unlawful activities.
  6. You will not knowingly submit false business documents or impersonate another business.
  7. You will not use barcode identifiers to misrepresent product identity or origin.

You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents supplied to Barcodewala.

6Product and Brand Information

Customers are responsible for providing correct details of each product, brand and business.

A separate barcode may be required for different product variations, sizes, flavours, packaging configurations or other trade-item variations under applicable barcode standards.

Customers should carefully evaluate their requirements before purchasing.

Barcodewala shall not be responsible for consequences arising from the customer's incorrect selection, inaccurate product descriptions or unauthorised use of another party's brand, except to the extent caused by our own breach or as otherwise required by law.

7Ordering and Order Confirmation

Orders may be placed through the Website or through other officially authorised channels.

An order is considered received when the Website successfully records the order and the corresponding payment is confirmed or otherwise accepted.

Order acceptance may be subject to verification of:

  • Payment status.
  • Customer information.
  • Business information.
  • Brand ownership or authorisation.
  • Product details.
  • Service availability.
  • Applicable third-party requirements.

We reserve the right to decline or suspend an order where there is a reasonable basis to suspect fraud, misuse, inaccurate information, unlawful activity or inability to provide the purchased service.

Where payment has been received for an order that we cannot accept or fulfil, the amount will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable law.

8Pricing, Taxes and Payment

All prices displayed on the Website will be subject to the applicable taxes and charges stated at checkout.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the final payable amount before completing a transaction.

Orders will generally proceed after successful payment confirmation.

In the event of a pricing error, technical issue or incorrect product listing, we may contact the customer to clarify or resolve the order before processing. Where the order cannot be fulfilled on the agreed terms, the customer will be offered an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.

9Refund and Cancellation

Refunds, cancellations, duplicate payments and failed transactions are governed by the separate Refund, Cancellation & Return Policy published on our Website.

Customers are advised to review that policy before making a purchase.

Nothing in these Terms shall remove or restrict a customer's mandatory statutory refund or consumer protection rights.
